What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? Since he did not spare even his own Son, but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else?

Stay Tuned!

My! Oh my! It's been a looooonnnngggg time...

Where has the time gone? Where have I been?  What am I doing now?

In this life I have learned that my lessons must come hard, not easy.  Why?  Because I am a stubborn, strong-willed, and independent woman.  Too many times, I have allowed myself to become enamored with being a perfectionist and an over-achiever.  And that is exactly where I find myself struggling.  Sure, being a perfectionist and an over-achiever has its perks, but they are certainly small in comparison to the many, many flaws I have and will always have.

Where have I been?  I'm not sure where to begin...

I have always had a desire to write - poetry, stories, inspirations, truths, words of wisdom, etc., but it seems I always find myself feeling inadequate, I guess that is the perfectionist and over-achiever in me screaming that I shouldn't bother unless it can be what I imagine it to be.  Well, life, my friends, will teach you all sorts of lessons.  One important one, it will NEVER be perfect.

Time flies by and in the flash, our vapor is gone.  What did we do with it?  What will we be remembered for?  I have set and pondered these types of questions over and over, but I always end up at the same conclusion - I need not worry about what is behind me or worry about what's in front of me - live now.   That's kind of become my new life motto.

Live now! Not when you think you're ready, but right now!

Don't spend your time rehashing or reacquainting with the past or reaffirming and revamping your marvelous plans for the future, just breathe and live - NOW! It's in those 86,400 seconds you are blessed with the possibility of living everyday that you live.

Life has many lessons to be taught. Some are harder than others, but there is a purpose for each of them.  A little over three years ago, I felt the push that I had to do something for my family.  Something that would take us on a journey none of us were really prepared for; I decided to reenter the world of the working.  I prayed about it and decided that the right fit for me was just up the road at a local retail store.  I worked there from February 2013 through February 2015.

During those two long, grueling years, we were forced to reevaluate our priorities and make some tough decisions.  I cherish the friends I made, the people I was able to interact with, and the management skills I walked away with.  I was obedient in the call to go to work and I knew when it was time to leave.

So, after quitting work and reentering the stay-at-home-mom life, I’m refreshed and rejuvenated in my purpose and in where I need to serve – right here in my home.  I have decided it is time to get back to writing, I enjoy it so much and I feel that I have something worth reading, so there will be more to come – so much more!  Stay tuned...
